Atlanta Ride & Drive in the 2017 Lincoln MKZ

On Wednesday Aug 31, I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the 2017 Lincoln MKZ and my experience was AMAZING, filled with state of the art technology and sophisticated design. Back in 2014 I had the opportunity to review the 2014 Lincoln MKZ (click here to check it out)

I cruised around the city in the 2017 MKZ Reserve AWD in White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat. On my journey I had the pleasure of having The Lincoln Motor Company's Exterior Design Manager Solomon Song ride with me.  So I got the scoop on some of the new enhancements that the 2017 has.

The repeating Lincoln Star motif and new one-piece Lincoln signature grille is very elegant.
  •  Adaptive Headlights: Super cool for night driving it allows the driver the ability to see around corners
  • Panoramic Glass Roof: The Lincoln MKZ has largest effective opening among sedans, its very sleek. Provides great light and sky views.
Let's Talk Technology:

MY FAVORITE: The Auto Hold PERFECT for Atlanta traffic it relieves the driver from having to press the brake pedal continuously to keep the vehicle stationary in traffic. Auto Hold releases the brakes when the accelerator pedal is pressed. Available enhanced park assist uses ultrasonic sensors to help Lincoln MKZ seamlessly steer itself into a parallel or perpendicular parking spot. The car can assist with park-out as needed. Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection is an available technology that can help avoid some frontal crashes or lessen the severity of such events.
The new Lincoln MKZ provides a hybrid alternative as well; and a 2.0-liter GTDI, 245-horsepower four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive.
Available Lincoln Drive Control allows drivers to adjust among three drive modes – comfort, normal and sport. The system includes continuously controlled damping, and electric power-assisted steering to provide comfortable, confident handling.
The Driver’s Package for Lincoln MKZ with 3.0-liter V6 also includes 19-inch wheels, Ebony-painted calipers, light Magnetic-painted grille, Ebony interior with carbon fiber appliqués, customizable multi-contour seats and aluminum pedal covers. In addition, the package features retuned continuously controlled damping and suspension for enhanced driving dynamics.
