2016 Toyota Avalon XLE

The Toyota Avalon is now my new favorite sedan because due to its great gas mileage and superior handling driving around Atlanta was effortless.

The 2016 Toyota Avalon is available in XLE Plus, XLE Premium, XLE Touring and Limited models, with Avalon Hybrid versions available for all but the base XLE. Standard versions of the Toyota Avalon are powered by a 268-horsepower, 3.5L V6 that has variable valve timing for smooth response across the entire rev range. It's hooked up to a 6-speed automatic transmission that has Eco, Normal and Sport modes as well as steering-wheel paddle shifters for manual control.

New standard equipment on the 2016 Avalon includes woodgrain interior trim, a 7-in. version of Toyota's Entune touch-screen infotainment system, and new gray accent stitching for Avalons with light gray seats.

Another feature that Toyota offers for the 2016 Avalon is Safety Connect, which automatically contacts emergency rescuers in the event the car is involved in a collision and the air bags deploy. This is in addition to Toyota's Entune App Suite technology, which makes it easier to operate smartphone applications right from the car's infotainment display screen.
