Infiniti today announced that the new 2016 Infiniti Q70 Premium Select Edition will be on display this week in the Infiniti Pavilion at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The specially equipped Q70 premium sedan will be available at Infiniti retailers nationwide beginning in November.
"Following the introduction last year of the new Infiniti Q70 long-wheelbase model, we are continuing to expand our flagship Q70 sedan's portfolio of offerings," said Randy Parker, vice president, Infiniti Americas. "The new Premium Select Edition package gives the Q70 an extra touch of premium elegance that is right at home here at Pebble Beach – or in any neighborhood or driveway across the country."

The Q70 Premium Select Edition's exterior offers dark chrome trim, a darkened lower rear bumper, a rear decklid spoiler and unique design and color 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 245/40R20 all-season performance tires.

Infiniti reveals 2016 QX50 luxury crossover at New York International Auto Show

Infiniti revealed two crossovers today at the New York International Auto Show – the updated 2016 QX50 luxury compact crossover and QX30 Concept. Both vehicles were presented by Infiniti Design Director Alfonso Albaisa.

The 2016 Infiniti QX50, which was one of the first luxury compact crossovers and continues to be one of the most powerful, features new exterior styling, an extended wheelbase and more than eight cubic feet of additional interior room. It is scheduled to go on sale in North America in fall 2015.

The QX50's new front end brings its appearance more in line with the design language that first appeared in the Infiniti Q50 and Q70 – including its new LED Daytime Running Lights and LED fog lights. There's also a new side sill design, a new rear fascia, LED side mirror turn signals and a new 19-inch wheel design. The QX50 wheelbase has been extended by 3.2 inches, with most of the gain – 4.3 inches of additional legroom – felt by rear seat passengers. Overall, interior volume has been increased by 8.3 cubic feet, including an additional 2.7 cubic feet of cargo space.
"The QX50 was one of the first luxury compact crossovers, foreshadowing one of the hottest segments in the auto industry right now. It was the first vehicle to offer our innovative Around View Monitor. And it remains one of the most powerful and versatile personal crossovers you can buy. The enhancements for 2016 keep it fresh and competitive," said Albaisa.

As in previous years, the 2016 QX50 is equipped with a standard 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine and a 7-speed automatic transmission. It is offered two models – QX50 and QX50 AWD with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive – and with several optional equipment packages that have also been revised for 2016.

The Infiniti QX30 Concept, Infiniti's design vision that will inspire a new premium compact crossover, cements Infiniti's ambitions to expand into the this segment which is forecast for significant growth with the entry of younger, affluent customers.

Combining the sleek lines of the coupe with the command seating position and all-wheel drive of a crossover, the QX30 Concept is designed to be an urban explorer – one that stands apart in style and substance and in the sophistication of its proportions and form.

"The QX30 Concept's sleek, exterior shape is composed of bold sections, each marked by deep, upward cuts – intersections that create Infiniti's hallmark 'dual wave' effect," said Albaisa. "The athletic silhouette is sleek and sinuous, and the aerodynamic design provides a showcase for QX30 Concept's confident attitude."

Inside the futuristic exterior, the warm, authentic and inviting interior is designed to engage emotionally with the vehicle's occupants. All four seats have been streamlined, to convey a "suspended" look, evoking the feeling of taut and toned athleticism.

"By keeping the seats slim, we've enhanced the impression of shared space within the cabin. Because we have narrowed the typical expanse that exists between driver and passengers, the interior becomes a place for occupants to connect with one another. And, with its rich, brown leathers and soothing blue accents, the darker interior environment dovetails nicely with the sturdy, outdoors appearance of the exterior," added Albaisa.
A production version of the Infiniti QX30 Concept has been announced as launching in calendar year 2016.

Infiniti reveals Q60 Concept in Detroit

Infiniti today revealed its Q60 Concept, the precursor to a premium sports coupe that will go into production in 2016. The exhilarating concept was unveiled during Infiniti's press conference at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit this morning.

Showing a sweeping, angular exterior that underlines its power and performance intentions, the two-door coupe in concept form hints at the captivating dynamics that await premium customers.
Q60 Concept was introduced by Roland Krueger, President of Infiniti Motor Company, Ltd., in his first appearance representing the company on an auto show stage.

"One look and it is clear: Q60 Concept is a strong statement from Infiniti designers that the exhilaration is real," said Krueger. "Design is a key driver for developing a strong brand. Q60 Concept is another building block in Infiniti's quest to refresh its portfolio with a strong and consistent design language. And in 2016, we will launch a new model heavily inspired by the Q60 Concept."

Infiniti has indicated the expansion of its portfolio into smaller premium vehicles such as the upcoming production Q30, while also showing a tantalizing vision for a full-size sedan in the form of the Q80 Inspiration concept in Paris last October. The striking Q60 Concept signals Infiniti's plans to bolster offerings in the middle of the product lineup.

On the outside, the Q60 Concept boasts a road-hugging stance etched out by sharp character creases and deep recesses in the body side. The hallmark Infiniti headlamp gives the coupe a high-tech stare, with fine fiber optics like the lines of the iris radiating from the pupil.
Inside, the high-quality finishes are seen and felt in the smallest detail, from the handcrafted leather-wrapped instrument panel and steering wheel to the premium leather and quilted stitching of the seats.
Living up to its sports car image, the Q60 Concept showcases superior power from the next-generation 3.0-liter V6 engine with direct injection and twin-turbocharging – part of a new family of lighter, smaller, more efficient and more powerful engines.

With its striking design, sure sense of performance, and painstaking finish to the last detail, the Q60 Concept paves the way for Infiniti's premium sports coupe to come.
